If you’re an energetic couple hoping to enjoy active St Lucia honeymoons you will be spoiled for choice at the wide array of activities and sports on offer. The island has everything you could want on a vacation in the Caribbean: gorgeous white sands, tree lined peaks, colonial architecture, brilliant weather and a population with a warm, friendly and laid back attitude. However, if you want to do more than just lie on the beach sipping rum, there are plenty of options to keep you occupied.

A Round of Golf

Located on the northern tip of the island within the scenic surroundings of the Cap Estate, the St Lucia Golf Resort and Country Club’s course is ideal for those looking to enjoy a round. A par-71 course with a total length of 6,113 metres, the course has become known as one of the most challenging in the whole of the Caribbean.

Horseback Riding

Riding is a great activity for both beginners and more experienced horse-folk on St Lucia honeymoons. There are many riding stables located throughout the island, and most offer lessons for those climbing into the saddle for the first time. Horse riding is the perfect way to open up the gorgeous mountains and forests of the island in a way not many travellers get to see. More confident riders can encourage their animal up to a canter through the sea spray at the edge of the beach for a true romantic Hollywood finish to their day.

Thrills on the Water

If you’re looking to spice up your St Lucia Honeymoons with a little adrenaline, you can hire jet-skis, water-skis, banana boats and speed boats in the resort areas of Rodney Bay, Choc Bay and Marigot Bay. For thrills at a slightly more sedate speed, it’s possible to hire a yacht from either Marigot Bay or Rodney Bay, with or without a captain.
