Food and wine run in Mark’s blood, with both his parents and brother having been successful restaurateurs and hoteliers. After gaining his own Hotel & Catering qualifications, Mark turned to the wine trade, passing his Master of Wine in 1989 and gaining the Madame Bollinger Award for Excellence in Tasting as the first U.K. winner.
Mark works in Berrys’ wholesale division, sourcing and selecting wines for key accounts such as Virgin Atlantic Airways and is a key lecturer on Bordeaux for Berry’s Cellar Dinners and Wine Tastings.
