?The concept of “Pop up Restaurants” is really a lot of fun. By definition, if refers to a restaurant being set up at a venue where the chef and his team are not normally producing their dishes. Cap Maison run a number of these every year, usually on a monthly basis and have included locations on the beach, on a pirate ship, on the marina docks and other interesting venues. The most adventurous to date was when Craig Jones and the Cap culinary team ventured to New York City last October and set up shop in a rather unique Manhattan Eatery, “City Grit”. More of a dining experience than a regular restaurant, City Grit, showcases the menus and talents of many great and upcoming chefs and Cap Maison were able to present New Yorkers with a taste from the Caribbean for one night only.
