Cap Maison Cooks Up Gold in Caribbean Culinary Competition

It’s been a whirlwind of a few months for Cap Maison Junior Chef Zyhim Cadet. The awards continue to rack up for the spirited young chef. This time Zyhim traveled with the St. Lucia National Culinary Team to Miami to compete in the Taste of the Caribbean Culinary Arts Competition.

The competitions were in everything from beef and chocolate to seafood and street pork…and all in between. The St. Lucia team with over 15 chefs sizzled and reeled in 2 gold medals. Cap Maison’s Zyhim Cadet was one of the two gold medal winners taking home the gold in the Junior Chef competition. Congrats to the other gold medal winner from Jade Mountain.

This is only the “fresh” St. Lucia teams’ first appearance at this international culinary competition and incredible to win 2 gold medals and numerous other high profile acknowledgements.
