Cap Maison Becomes St. Lucia's First Preferred Boutique Hotel
Setting the New Benchmark on Style and Service

June 26, 2008 - Cap Maison, St. Lucia's first residential-style luxury boutique hotel, has been accepted to become a member of Preferred Boutique, one of the five brands of the Preferred Hotel Group, the world's finest collection of independent hotel experiences. Cap Maison, opening July 15, 2008, will bring a new standard of luxury and excellence to the island as a boutique hotel, fitting the quality trademark and meeting the exclusive criteria of Preferred Boutique's collection of hotels and resorts that celebrate distinctive travel experiences and showcase style, service and personality on an intimate scale.

"We are proud to be the first St. Lucian hotel to become a Preferred Boutique property. By doing so, Cap Maison joins the industry's most exclusive collection of small, distinct and highly personal luxury properties located in the most coveted locales around the globe," says Ross Stevenson, General Manager of Cap Maison.

Cap Maison is set on a stunning four-acre, cliff-top parcel of land and is just minutes north of popular Rodney Bay, known for its restaurant, shopping and nightlife, yet removed enough to provide peace and tranquility thanks to its secluded location within the exclusive Cap Estate area. The guest rooms, villas and suites have spectacular views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea, most dramatically seen from the individual rooftop terraces. Fifty artfully appointed suites and guest rooms will be serviced by private butlers. The Villa Suites are exceptionally spacious and will be fully equipped with professional-grade kitchens, remarkably spacious living and dining areas, outdoor showers and private pools, which will be located either on the ground floor or on a private roof top terrace.

The resort will include Spa Maison, an intimate and serene oasis accented with soft nuances, draped ceilings, copper lighting and a soothing ambience that will relax guests well before the treatment begins. Spa Maison will have a couple's treatment room, as well as two treatment rooms with outdoor showers, a salon room for manicures, pedicures and hair styling. A combination of wonderful products and sensual therapy is the cornerstone of Spa Maison. Massages can also be enjoyed in-room or in a number of other quiet and remote areas of the resort. An après treatment veranda will brew soothing tisanes made with calming infusions based on fresh cut flowers and herbs selected from the resort's own spa garden.

George Charles AirportThe Cliff at Cap restaurant will quickly become one of the most highly sought after tables on the island. Executive Chef Craig, formerly of Chic restaurant at the Royal Rex Hotel and a St. Lucian Chef of the Year, plans a French West Indian-inspired contemporary menu based on fresh local products and fresh seafood. The restaurant is named for its dramatic location, perched at the edge of a cliff that is literally the end of the island. Multi-level decks and sitting areas will provide unobstructed views out to Pigeon Point and the luxury yachts and cruise liners plying the shipping lanes where the Caribbean meets the Atlantic. Visitors will be invited to choose their favorite vintage from the resort's own walk-in wine cellar.

George Charles AirportCap Maison is also the only luxury resort in St. Lucia to offer guests exclusive use of a resort-owned and operated private 46-foot yacht. Christened the Cap Maison 1, the James Bond-worthy craft will be available for sunset cruises, wedding parties, special events and day or overnight excursions to any of the nearby Windward Islands. Simply the most elegant way to tour St. Lucia or the nearby archipelago, the air-conditioned yacht is finished with polished teak interior cabins, a full galley, soft beige leather banquettes, an expansive forward deck for sunbathers, as well as two private staterooms, two spacious bathrooms, one with a separate glassed in shower and comfortable sleeps four passengers. A skipper and private chef will be aboard to prepare all meals, including line-caught fish reeled in from the deck.

Cap Masion is located on estate land that until now was privately held. It is located at the scenic northern tip of St. Lucia. The property is developed by two generations of the Gobat family, iconic names in St. Lucian hospitality known for their highly regarded resort developments on the island and elsewhere in the Caribbean since 1972. Cap Maison is currently accepting reservations for bookings commencing on July 15, 2008. For reservations or more information, visit www.capmaison.com or call (758) 450-8847.
